The Vintner's  Wonderland Collection
In the vineyards the vines begin their hibernation. The leaves fall and the sap retreats back to the roots.
Here at home, as the temperatures drop and the nights draw in, it's natures way of telling us to wind down a little too. Concentrate on your own roots this Christmas. Take care of your family, friends.....and  yourself!

Prosecco Brut Spumante, nv, Cavit, Veneto, Italy
Tasting Note: Citrus and gently floral aromas lead to a very fresh and zippy palate with crisp green apple and lightly honeyed characters. Hand harvested from the hills North of Treviso, this Vindipendent label competes against some of the top names in Prosecco.
Serving Suggestions:  The perfect conversation starter!

Chenin Blanc Viognier, 2018, Percheron, Western Cape, South Africa
Tasting Note: Vibrant and aromatic with delicious generous fresh apricot, white peach and hints of passion fruit on the nose. On the palate it has tight, white, fleshy stone fruit with a balancing sandy texture. Bright acidity and minerality delivers a delicious balance.
Serving Suggestions: A really versatile white. Delicious on its own, or, perhaps, with a prawn starter.

Novello di Teroldego, 2018, Terrazze  della Luna, Trentino, Italy
Tasting Note:  Nothing could be more seasonal than this wine – the first release of the European vintage. Fresh and fun this light red is packed full of vibrant red fruits.
Serving Suggestions:  The red for the party season – juicy and refreshing.

Reserva Rioja, 2013, Palacio del Camino Real, Rioja, Spain
Tasting Note: A supple, mellow red. Layers of ripe damsons and plums with warm winter spice and balsamic notes.
Serving Suggestion: This'll be great with the Christmas turkey and all the trimmings.

Cabernet Sauvignon, 2017, Tierra Alta, Central Valley, Chile
Tasting Note: Bursting with red and blackcurrant fruits, this is a really soft and pure Cabernet with gentle tannins and a hint of green pepper on the finish. Cool herby flavours mingle with red fruits and a nice touch of acidity.
Serving Suggestion: Great with hearty, herby fayre. Or just in front of a roaring fire, when the weather is especially cold and miserable outside!

Ruby Dum ½ btl, nv, Niepoort, Douro, Portugal
Tasting Note: Ruby Dum and Tawny Dee - the Niepoort 'twins'(modelled on Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee from Alice in Wonderland) matured in different ways to show two distinct Port styles. The Ruby Dum has been matured only briefly in large casks so it is youthful, fresh fruited and elegantly spirited.
Serving Suggestion: Weirdly good with either cheddar or dark chocolate – you choose!
