The BIG Tasting Friday May 30th - The Royal Hotel - Bridge of Allan Anytime from 5pm to 8pm Our twice yearly tasting marathon in the company of our wine friends A great opportunity to taste over 50 wines, including reds, whites, rosés, Champagnes and whiskies. £15 per person including a free Riedel glass. Whats Happening in the Shop? A regular update of what we've been drinking, eating and up to in the world of WoodWinters. Fino Sherry by Fernando de Castilla with mushroom and barley risotto. A good crisp Fino is just the most perfect drink to enjoy in the warm snap we've been having recently and is a great food wine. It works brilliantly with risotto but also soups, especially pea and mint and tomato and basil, and most tapas. Fino Sherry should be drunk chilled from the fridge and as fresh as possible (not sitting in a cupboard left over from last Christmas). Fernando de Castilla's Fino has a water-proof label to encourage people to enjoy it from an ice bucket and at only £9 a bottle it is a must-have.	Wedding Lists with WoodWinters Is another toaster the last thing you need? Would you like a ready-made wine cellar full of great drinking and age-worthy wines? We can put together a range of wines, champagnes and whisky as part of or as your whole wedding list. We can include anything from single bottles of everyday drinking wines to great wines that need ageing and could be used as an investment. With input from yourseleves we would include products at all price points to suit all your guests' budgets and would be able to discuss their purchases with them so they feel happy they have bought the best wines for you. We can also supply wines and Champagnes for the big day itself. If you have a favourite wine you would like or wish to have a better and more interesting choice, we can supply wines that can be cheaper than the hotel's wine selection even with their corkage charge included.
