Wine Dinners ...
Thursday 13th May 2010 again at the Lake of Menteith Hotel this time featuring wines from Barossa bad boys Torbreck.
David Powell, founder of Torbreck
Vintners in the Barossa Valley, will be presenting some of his wines
at a special evening at the Lake Hotel.
The Torbreck endeavor is based around the classic Barossa Valley
varietals of
Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro, and a love for the wines of France's Rhone
Valley.
David has a real affinity with Scotland, the name Torbreck comes from a
Scottish forest that he worked in as a lumberjack in his youth and he
has named
some of his wines 'The Bothie' ,'The Struie' and 'The Pict'.
The Chef at the Lake Hotel will be preparing some of the finest seasonal Scottish produce
to
accompany Torbreck's varied portfolio.
A great night is assured!
