WoodWinters was founded by three wine and whisky loving friends; Cara, Doug and Mark. We met while judging at the International Wine Challenge (the
largest wine competition in the world) and have travelled the world
working, tasting and developing our passion for good wine. Our
wines are all chosen on the premise they offer something of interest;
whether near extinct varieties or beautifully crafted examples of
more well known grape varieties, they are made by some of the most
dynamic wine makers from all around the world and we believe offer
superb value for money – how ever much you want to spend. Our
whiskies are single cask single malt and packaged in elegant 35cl
bottles from each of the classic regions – range to be expanded soon. Who?

What?
We
are still working on the exact wording ... something like 'to increase
the pleasure experienced by our customers both buying and drinking our
wines & whiskies'
As a company and as individuals, we value: Ethical, quality focussed producers Fun and a sense of adventure when buying wine Accountability for the quality and value of every bottle that we sell Honesty in all transactions Education and interaction with all customers via the shop or the web Environmental responsibility Charitable causes - 1p per bottle sold going to charity Openness, self improvement & always welcome feedback
Why?
Our
palates are all different and on any given occasion, we would all
choose something quite different to drink. For a wine to make it onto
out list we all have to consent which means that we believe we have a
very balanced list representing a comprehensive range of tastes. We can
confidently state that every wine on our list has a time and place
…
A picnic lunch on the beach for the Trebbiano A barbequed steak with Andy for the Corvina A well earned breakfast in bed for the Prosecco A birthday party for the Gremillet A Tuesday night with the TV for ...
