To mix your own case there are four ways to search the wine list: by country, by grape variety, by style of wine or using the keyword search.
By keyword search: we think this is the most powerful search facility on any wine website we have come across. If you are searching for a particular wine, type any part of its name into the box (name, estate or producer, even country or grape variety) and if we stock it, it will find it. If you have been to a tasting and enjoyed our wines, then type in the name of the tasting and all the wines that were on show will be displayed. If you are cooking prawns next weekend and wondering what wine to serve, then type in prawns and wines we specifically recommended to go with prawns will be displayed.
At any stage you can choose to buy a wine clicking on the ‘buy’ button and one bottle will go into your basket. If you want to know more about a wine, simply click on it. A really powerful and easy way to add wines to your basket - only condition being you have to buy (at least) 12.
By grape variety: if you want to browse by grape variety, click on ‘grape variety’ in the browse by section top left. A list of grape varieties will appear alphabetically from which you can select the one you want. The list of wines displayed will also include all blends with the variety selected ranked by price. You can choose to rank the wines by vintage or alphabetically using the drop down arrow at the top of the list.
By style: another way to browse for wines. Click on ‘style’ in the browse section top left. A list of different styles of wines will appear – like ‘light and fruity reds’. The wines in that category will be displayed ranked by price - you can choose to display by vintage or alphabetically.
By country: if you want to browse in this way, click on ‘country/region’ in the browse by section top left. A list of countries will appear along with all our products ranked with the cheapest first. By selecting a country, you will refine your search and display all our wines from that country. A list of regions will appear and you can refine your search further by selecting a region and displaying only wines from there. This would allow you to quickly find all Bordeaux 2000 for example – an excellent vintage with some wines starting to drink well now.
